Tibetan Development Fund (TDF) started in April 1980 to help the Tibetans in exile and contribute to the safeguard of their culture.
For TDF, youth education and training have always been a priority as they are seen to represent Tibet’s future.
Since its establishment, TDF has been financing a number of projects in Jampa Ling (Nepal). In 2005, the society has also provided its help to Ghilling (Upper Mustang), purchasing solar panels for the nursery.
Early 2002, it extended its activities towards India (boarding house in Ladakh) and the Tibetan Children’s Villages (TCV).
In all its projects, the TDF works with local partners under its supervision.
Correspondence with the sponsored children is encouraged to create enriching bonds. It is also a way to follow their scholarship.
